Curricular Activities :
Education is not the filling of a bucket but the lighting of a fire
We
believe in healthy and frank interaction between students and
teachers. We also emphasis on practical work, that includes individual
activities, as well as project work in small groups within the
classrooms and active learning experiences that go beyond the
boundaries of the classroom.
We have excellent individual classrooms and laboratory facilities for
Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Here teachers & students have access
to charts, software, books, models, over head & LCD projectors etc.
for illustrations. Apart from enhancing the teachers’ efficiency such
a facility is successful in arousing and sustaining students' interest
in the subject.
Two
periods per week is devoted to the learning of any third language as
prescribed by the Council where students have to select an option
between HINDI, SANSKRIT & FRENCH. Our students are free to take up
additional languages or continue with the study of a particular
language as a co-curricular or a spare time activity.
Besides, there is at least one period daily for Computer Literacy from
Stds. III to X. These classes familiarize our students with computers
and their various usages. They also master some common application
software. They use multimedia to create animation and undertake
quiz-based drills relating to a number of academic subjects.

Curricular
Activities :
Art
and Craft, Music and Physical Education are academic subjects from Stds. III to X. Four compulsory periods per week are allotted for
these subjects.
The instructional periods are of 40 minutes duration. There are eight
academic periods per day from Monday to Friday. On Saturday there are
five academic periods. |
On Saturday afternoons all students of the Secondary section devote an
hour and a half to a long-term project of their choice. Their involves
independent study, research and its application. This is presented as
a Project Report at the end of the academic session.
We devote our attention to all our students equally. For slower
learners, our Remedial Centre devotes extra time to help them
understand particular subjects better. The centre has a specially
trained teacher who interacts with the students on a one-to-one basis.
Career guidance forms an integral part of the schedule. |
