ASISC Zonal Taekwondo Competition,2024-25



ASISC Zonal Taekwondo Championship was held on 31st July 2024, at Madhusthali Vidyapeeth Campus. The event, hosted by Madhusthali Vidyapeeth, featured participants from ICSE and ISC schools in Deoghar zone. Competitors included experienced Taekwondo players from Madhusthali Vidyapeeth, Carmel School Madhupur, Carmel School Giridih, Mount Assisi School Godda, Edward English School Jamtara, and Saint Francis School Deoghar. The tournament included categories for boys and girls are under-14, under-17, and under-19 age groups.

The championship began with a speech by Mr. Bitan Biswas, Principal of Madhusthali Vidyapeeth, who encouraged players to compete with sportsmanship. The event was overseen by Madhusthali Vidyapeeth's Taekwondo instructors, Mr. Deepak Massey and Miss Montana Massey, along with Senior Coordinator, Mr. Nabarun Mandal and Activity Coordinator, Somnath Halder. A total number of 150 players competed, with referees Ajay Soren, Raj Mandal, Mohit Kumar, Riddhi Kumari Pandit, and Nayan Bhattacharya and officiating Judges including Yamuna Kumar Paswan, Akash Swarnkar, Jyoti Kumari, Kriti Kumari, and Rohit Kumar were also present.

As for the results, Madhusthali Vidyapeeth won 16 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze medals, while Carmel School Madhupur earned 16 gold, 13 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Saint Francis School Deoghar secured 5 gold, 3 silver, and 10 bronze medals, Mount Assisi School Godda achieved 3 gold, 7 silver, and 11 bronze medals, Carmel School Giridih won 2 gold and 1 silver medal, and Edward English School Jamtara obtained 1 gold, 2 silver, and 7 bronze medals.

Based on the medal and points , Madhusthalii Vidyapeeth secured first place in the boys' category, with Carmel School Madhupur in second place. In the girls' category, Carmel School Madhupur took first place and Saint Francis School Deoghar was second.

All participants were congratulated and awarded with medals, certificates, and trophies by the hosting members of Madhusthali Vidyapeeth. The event was supported by teachers and non-teaching staff from all participating schools, who encouraged and assisted the players throughout the competition.
