ADMISSION POLICY DOCUMENT 2026-2027

1. Introduction

Madhusthali Vidyapeeth is a co-educational, residential-cum-day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Situated in Madhupur, Jharkhand, the school provides a supportive environment that combines academic excellence, nature-integrated learning, and well-rounded personal growth. 2. Purpose of the Policy

  1. To define the procedures and criteria for admitting students to Nursery through Grade 12 at Madhusthali Vidyapeeth.

  2. To demonstrate fairness, inclusivity, and transparency in admission practices, aligning with the school’s progressive ethos.

  3. To highlight the school’s nature-centric curriculum, diverse extracurricular opportunities, and modern infrastructure.

 

 

3. Scope and Application

  1. This policy governs admissions for both day scholars and residential (boarding) students across all grades.

  2. It applies to domestic and international applicants seeking CISCE education that blends academic rigour with environmental stewardship.

  3. Revisions to this policy are published via the official school website or administrative circulars.

  2. Age Requirements

    • Pre-Primary (Kindergarten):

      • Students must meet recommended age norms (e.g., 3.5–4 years for LKG and 4.5– 5 years for UKG) by March 31 of the admission year.

·Grade 1:

  • A minimum age of 6 years by March 31 of the admission year.

·Subsequent Grades:

  • Progressively appropriate age criteria; exceptions granted only with valid documentation and approval.

5.2 Previous Academic Performance

  • Applicants must present report card of the previous academic year.

  • Demonstrated consistency in academic results and co-curricular involvement is advantageous but not the singular criterion.

5.3 Entrance Examination

  • May include basic questions on syllabus basis as per the classes.

5.4 Interview

  • Student Interaction:

    • Shortlisted candidates participate in an interactive session to assess communication skills, confidence, and inclination toward nature-centric or community initiatives.

·Parent/Guardian Meeting:

  • A discussion to ensure alignment with the school’s ethos, CISCE curriculum standards, and emphasis on balanced development.

5.5 Reservation & Special Quotas

  • Concessions or provisions are offered to students with disabilities, economically weaker segments, or those with notable talents (scholastic, environmental, athletic, or artistic).

      1. Availability

        • Forms can be collected from the School Administrative Office or downloaded from the official website.

2. Submission

  • Duly filled forms, accompanied by supporting documents and the application fee, must be submitted before the official deadline.

  • Late submissions may be considered only if vacancies remain.

6.2 Required Documents

  1. Birth Certificate (original + 1 copy)

  2. Previous Academic Records (report cards of the past two years)

  3. Transfer Certificate (if applicable)

  4. Government-Issued ID (e.g., Aadhaar) for student and parent/guardian

  5. Passport-Sized Photographs (5 copies)

  6. Caste/Category Certificate (if applying under reserved quotas)

 

  1. Medical Fitness Certificate (particularly for boarding students)

  2. Nature/Environmental Activity Records (any certificate or evidence of participation) – optional but encouraged

6.3 Application Fee

  • A non-refundable application fee is charged.

  • Fee waivers or concessions may be granted to underprivileged families on a case-by-case basis, subject to administrative evaluation.

6.4 Acknowledgment of Application

  • Upon receipt of the application, candidates receive a whatsapp or email confirmation containing details of the entrance examination and interview schedule.

7. Entrance Examination

  1. Format

    • Assessments in English, Mathematics, and Science appropriate to the grade level.

    • Higher-grade exams may include scenario-based questions reflecting real-life or environment-focused learning contexts.

   2. Evaluation

  • The Admissions Committee reviews test scores to shortlist students for interviews.

   3. Exemptions

  • In exceptional circumstances (e.g., students with national-level achievements or documented environmental or sports contributions), the entrance exam requirement may be waived or reconsidered.

8. Interview Process

  1. Student Interaction Session

    • Gauges overall aptitude, communication, creativity, and awareness of environmental or societal issues.

  2. Parent/Guardian Meeting

  • Clarifies mutual expectations and highlights the school’s commitment to the CISCE curriculum, holistic learning, and nature-integrated education.

 

3. Location & Mode

  • Held on the Madhusthali campus, online interviews may be arranged for outstation or international applicants with prior approval.

  • Announced on the official website and displayed on the school notice board. As well as will be informed parents personally.

3. Waitlist Procedure

  • If seats are oversubscribed, waitlisted candidates may be admitted should vacancies arise.

10. Fee Structure and Payment

  1. Components of Fees

    • Admission Fee: Admission fee has been clear at the time of admission.

    • Security Deposit: Security deposit contains the security of school properties, which will be provide by school authority. This will also have to clear with the admission fee.

    • Imprest Amount: This amount will cover expenses incurred by students for uniforms, books, stationery, weekend exits, field trips and cultural / academic excursion.

    • School Fees: The April Months fees need to be paid with the admission fees. Monthly fees need to be clear by the 15th of every month.
