A two-day Refresher Training Programme on the Nature-Based Curriculum was conducted on 14 and 15 February at Madhusthali Vidyapeeth. The workshop was facilitated by three resource persons from Bhoomi College, Bangalore. Nine teachers participated in the programme, comprising five teachers from MCKV and four teachers from MV.

The training proved to be highly productive and enriching for all participants. It provided an opportunity for teachers to reconnect with the fundamental principles of the nature integration programme and to revisit the foundational philosophy underpinning it. The sessions focused on key areas such as Multiple Intelligences, keen observation and microteaching practices, enabling teachers to deepen their understanding of the core values and objectives of a nature-based curriculum.

The facilitators conducted a range of experiential and activity-based sessions to promote holistic learning. Activities such as clay-art sculpture and forming our own triangles encouraged perspective-building and helped participants recognise the interconnectedness within nature and their immediate surroundings. These hands-on exercises prompted reflection on existing pedagogical approaches and inspired innovative ways of integrating nature into classroom practice.

Overall, the refresher training was an insightful and engaging experience. It strengthened the teachersโ€™ commitment to the nature-based curriculum and equipped them with practical strategies to implement nature-integrated learning more effectively in their respective schools. We express our sincere gratitude to the management for their continued support and for the encouragement shown by the Chairman Sir and HR Maโ€™am, which made the programme possible and meaningful.
